FAQs

Q. What does labálabá mean?

Labálabá means butterfly in Yoruba. For us, it’s about the stages of growth, metamorphosis, change, and becoming. We design with this in mind.

Q. I love your pieces. Do you have them in stock or is this made to order?

A. We’ve got everything you need (unless it’s sold out) right here in Lagos. All of our items are ready to wear, and in-stock locally.

Q. How long will it take for my order to be processed and received?

A. Orders within Lagos will be processed and shipped within 24-48 hours. Please be sure to include a reliable phone number with your order for delivery.

Orders within Nigeria but outside of Lagos Island and Mainland will take 24 hours to process and can take 2-5 business days to receive, depending on location.

For all West African orders outside of Nigeria (Ghana, Senegal, etc), please allow 24 hours for your order to be processed and 7-10 days for your order to be received.

Please note: Due to local demand, we are unable to ship outside of West Africa at the moment and plan to ship outside of West Africa starting January 2027.  If you are in the US, UK, or EU, you are welcome to order from us if you have a local address in Nigeria you plan to ship to.

Please refer to our detailed shipping policy for more information.

Q. I’m in-between sizes. What size should I get?

Our garments are designed for flexible sizing, which means that it’s really about comfort than it is the number or label. For a true-to-size fit, order your traditional size using our size chart as a guide. For a looser fit and longer length, go up a size. For a tighter waist and shorter length, go down a size. If you’re still unsure, feel free to reach out to us at info@labalaba.shop and someone will be sure to get back to you.

Q. Do you accept returns?

Please refer to our return policy for all details.
